Reading Girl Scouts : Cookie Booth Sales

This page records the assignment of booth sale times and locations in Reading. If a slot has no troop number indicated it is blank and your troop can sign up by sending e-mail to ralph@vinci.org. Please prefix the subject line of your message with the text "[GSR]" (this stands for Girl Scout Reservation). I'll add you to this list and send a reply. The slots sometimes open back up as reservations change , so stay tuned. Please note that booth sales in Boston are handled by the Council through Quickbase instead of here.

The reservation policies are:

1. Each troop gets to sign up for one slot at the November Service Unit Meeting.
2. Until Jan 1st, each troop can reserve a second slot by e-mail.
3. After Jan 1st, any additional slots are reserved by e-mail.

Details on Locations

Atlantic on Haven St. - Haven St. [map ]
We have been cleared by the town manager to use sidewalk space on Haven St., provided we do not block pedestrian traffic and have permission of the store behind the sidewalk. Jackie has created two billboards, one for a van top on Haven St. and another for a second vehicle top that we could park in the municipal lot directing people to the Haven St. entrance. We cannot sell in the lot behind the Atlantic. Each troop that schedules the slot should pass these materials on to the next troop. If possible, decorate the cars with Girl Scout logos and football related symbols. If we have some engaging pictures, the council would like to use them in next year's materials and on their web site.

The management won't allow us inside, so you'll need to setup outside the entry doors, without impeding foot traffic.

Setup is outside the store. A popup tent is recommended for bad weather.

Can setup inside small waiting area, leave most of cookies in your car parked on the street.

K&G Men's Store - 1 North Industrial Park, [map]
A Men's store where Frugal Fannies used to reside. It's OK to bring a pop up tent (10x10) for weather protection if needed.

Approval for the booth sale, ultimately, was given by the building owners, Luma Realty. They have requested that: "Given the weather conditions during those months, it is our understanding the fundraiser will not take place should the area not be free of snow and/or ice."

A small table can be set up in the waiting area. Contact is Scott Manninen.

Please set up selling table at least 10 feet from the entrance.

You can setup inside the lobby. A folding table can be requested from Laurie Spagnuolo (she works Mon.-Fri. at the desk) that needs to be set up behind the wall the rims the lobby.
