To: Cookie Managers and Troop Leaders Subject: [GS] Cookie Drop a Success, upcoming issues ----COOKIE DROP A SUCCESS---- The cookie drop was a great success and thanks go out to the hardworking volunteers and also to the cookie managers and their troops who arrived on-time and smoothly moved their cookies into the cars. Troops should now be distributing their cookies to the scouts for direct delivery to the initial order customers. ----REWARDS PATCHES---- The patches you received at the drop were for girls that had sold 12 or more boxes of cookies. The Council suggested that the girls could wear these during deliveries of their initial orders. More reward patches should be on the way with the other reward materials later on. ----GIRL SCOUT BAG SHORTAGE---- The council did not distribute enough "girl scout logo" plastic bags, so you'll need to augment your supply with ones you have around the house. ----NEED MORE COOKIES?---- Now that the initial drop is over, you need to get more cookies through the cookie cupboards. Use the usual Quickbase reservation and payment procedure as described in the Cookie Manager's Plan Book (pink cover). ----QUICKBASE: next deadline is March 29---- The debit verifications have come through for all the troops in Quickbase! You should now see the "Bank Info Received" checkmark. Our next deadline is March 29 when all quickbase girls credits should be assigned and all payments to the council executed via the direct debit setup. Also, if you need to add additional girls who registered late to the system, it does allow that option. I tried while logged in as a Cookie Manager and it worked. ----RED SOX TICKET INCENTIVE----- From Kace at Council: Some Red Sox tickets were allocated to the cookie sale program for a special promotion. Here's a flyer that we'd like you to forward to all your troops. Any kind of booth sale, at any site, selling 120 boxes between now and Girl Scout Birthday gets them entered into the drawing. Sell 240 boxes and they are entered twice! (etc) We will collect data starting on the day they were awarded to us (February 21) through 3/12, and announce the winners that week. ----BOSTON BOOTH SALES STILL AVAILABLE---- MBTA Sale Dates Still Available During March 2006 Thu 3/9/2006 3p-7p Alewife Fri 3/10/2006 3p-7p Alewife Fri 3/3/2006 3p-7p Braintree Fri 3/3/2006 3p-7p Davis Square Fri 3/3/2006 3p-7p Forest Hills Tue 3/7/2006 3p-7p Forest Hills Fri 3/17/2006 3p-7p Forest Hills Fri 3/10/2006 3p-7p Government Center Thu 3/16/2006 3p-7p Harvard Square Sat 3/18/2006 11a-7p Harvard Square Fri 3/10/2006 3p-7p JFK/UMass Fri 3/17/2006 3p-7p JFK/UMass Fri 3/10/2006 3p-7p Kendall/MIT Fri 3/17/2006 3p-7p Kendall/MIT Thu 3/9/2006 3p-7p North Quincy Wed 3/15/2006 3p-7p North Quincy Fri 3/3/2006 3p-7p Wollaston Thu 3/16/2006 3p-7p Wollaston To sign up for one or more of these sales, contact Debbie Terman at cookieboothsale@ptgirlscouts.org.
